Weekly Update #7: I AM BACK CHUMPS!

I thought I wasn't going to come back to this hell, but here I am so, SURPRISE!

I know I haven't updated you with my boring and sad educational life, but i was so relieved when I though I was going to get rif of this, BUT WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD LIFE SUCKS! And it also hates me so I am here with new boring content that I will complain about. Enjoy :) Here's what we saw last week (and two days of this one):

What I learned last week (and 2 days of this one) in SMRT 140

  • Homelessness (Paola's lifestyle)
  • Nuclear Energy
  • ANIMAL FARMMMMM
  • THAT'S IT BECAUSE I DON'T REMEMBER K BY
Last week and this one, we kept working with different abilities to develop with the topic of homelessness. The information was quite repetitive, talking about how this social problem is happening in Canada, its main causes, and what thr country is doing in trying to solve it.
Thy introduced us to a new type of writing exercise, where they make us agains our will, try and correct certain parts of the main text we kept reading, but without looking to the original one. Even though I am very lazy and I do not enjoy doing it, I recognize that it is a great way to improve our wirting skills and test our grammar knowledge that we've learned through the years.
Reading and listening is basically the same repetitive stuff theu make us do, that we still do not do correctly.
OOOOH SOMETHING REALLY COOL was the football cup the organized for homeless people around the world. Even though I am bad at any sport that you could think of, I believe that this is a great way of motivate and improve the lives of numerous homeless.

THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE THAT POSITIVE AND SERIOUS FOR THAT MUCH TIME? HAAAAA think twice. Even though homelessness is a real problem that we need to solve and deal with and that affects a lot of people, SMRT needs to step it up with the topics. YOU LISTENED CANADA?! I propose: Life and carreer of Robin Sparkles.

We are now entering to a new topic, which is nuclear energy. I think there will be a lot of debate on this because I think it is very controversial the usage of this type of energy in developed countries, since a lot of accidents can occur.
HOWEVER, THEY ARE MAKING ME DO AN ESSAY AND PRESENT ABOUT IT, which I am not happy about but I have to suck it up and do it as the school slave I am to keep up with my nerdy image.

The last thing that I am going to talk about is animal farm, which is a reading that only Aaron finished reading because we are all a bunch of lazy losers that never puts attention and we didn't realize it was for homework (just like we sordear with the blog) . We are doing better and doing what we are supposed to now (really late as always).

The word of the week is:

MUNICIPALITY

Sadly, we are going to keep seeing each other every week again, let's cry together. I LOVE YOUUUUUU THANKS FOR READING DRINK WATER THANK YOU BYEEEE!

Weekly Update #6: AHAHAHAHH MARIAAAA

I know you missed me last week, BUT I AM BACK WITH SOME CRAPPY CONTENT. YAAAY

This week, we didn't have that many classes because we had a lot of conferences in the auditorium. WE SAW SPIDEEEERS, and we had a talk about trips and also a sexist talk about skirts. However, we still managed to do stuff in SMRT because we are exploited.  Here's what we saw last week:

What I learned last week in SMRT 140

  • Poverty (hell of presentations)
  • Addiction
  • Animal Farm
On poverty, we basically did listenings and readings about it. They magically wanted us to solve poverty apparently, because if world leaders can't do it, then a 17 year old unstable girl probably can, am I right?
As a part of our project, we had to make a 500 word essay about the topic with a focus of whatever we wanted. Then we had to present it to the class in 5 minutes. However, as we are all cowards, nobody wanted to go first, so Miss K had to look for extreme alternatives, so we had to pic a piece of paper, and the one that got the shortest was the one presenting first. IT WAS MARIA AJAHAHAHHAHAHA AND IT WAS HILARIOUS. Here i'll leave you a representation of the paper, the man on the left is Maria's paper.

We had to read a pretty short (long af) story called animal farm. I was hesistant about it because I thought it was going to be very boring; however, I got surprised at how much I liked it. It is a very strong critique to society, and how humans control the world. I'll keep you updated om the story 'cause we haven't finish it yet.

On addiction, we only made a reading activity which was pretty long but very interesting. When I think about addiction I always picture drugs, but now I realized that there are also behavioral addictions. Our brains are amazing, right? My addiction is chocolate, here's proof:

The word of the week is:

SYNAPSE

Thanks for reading I love you so MUUUUCHHHHH!

Weekly Update #5: I ate ice cream today :)

CHINESE AND WESTERN MEDICINE IS GONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WUWUWUWUWUW

Hi, welcome to my blog :)

I am happy to announce that this hell of a topic is gone, here is what we saw last week:

What I learned last week in SMRT 140

  • Animal Farm
  • Poverty
  • Presentatiooooons

I totally forgot that we had to read this "short" story, that I still haven't read by tha way. Miss Karitza reminded us, but it is for next week, and I still don't know for which day. I am guessing it will be for friday (please miss I beg you).

On friday we started with a new topic in reading: poverty. Right now, they want us to focus on the pre-reading of the lectures. They give us 30 seconds to scan de text, and after that time we need to have an idea of what the lecture is about, what thesis statement is, and main points. It is a boring topic, but anything is better than Chinese and Western medicine.

The topic that we focused the most was the presentation that we had for Thursday. We will make in this block 3 presentations that will evaluate our project. I was very stressed because I thought I was going to make it right. My first topic was about "Why do people care more about pets than other humans". WE HAD TO MAKE AN 800 WORD ESSAY! What is going on SMRT? You are failing me.
I had fun with all of the presentations, they where really interesting and Janice had to present for like a thousand hours. 😂😂😂😂

The word of the week is:

Miscellaneous (because I don't remember what it means)

Sorry for doing a very boring entry this week, it was not my best.
As an apology, here's an attachment of a miny pig eating ice cream:

THANK YOU  BYEEEEEEEEEE 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Weekly Update #4: kill me pls

I give up on life, hi.

I am doing this late again because apparently I can't do anything right, anyways here's what we saw last week wwuwuwuwuwuwu:

What I learned last week in SMRT 140

Here's the usual list:
  • I don't want to talk about this anymore
  • APA
  • Sentences
  • Obesity
WE
ARE
STLL
WITH
THIS
GODDAM
TOPIC
SEND
HELP
(fyi I am talking about Chinese and Western medicine)
I am already an expert in this topic, hit me up if you want to be schooled about it.

I enjoyed the APA exercises. I think that citing is very important even though I don't usually do it, but that's because I don't know how to not because I am lazy af. That's why I liked this, because I can learn how to cite correctly and not be sued of plagiarism. They showed you how to cite in APA format if you had all the data, if you didn't have the author, date, their address or type of blood, it was amazing!

Another thing that we saw was how to join sentences. Sometime it is better to have a more structured sentence than having a lot of simple sentences, or at least that's what the sad guy from the SMRT videos told us, and I trust him.
We saw how to make compound, complex, and compund-complex sentences, I actually had to work in this because I didn't remember and I felt stupid.
I got really sentimental when doing thses exercises because I remembered SMRT 125. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

So now SMRT has the audacity of making me feel FAT all week with their topics about obesity and health and stuff.
The most relevant thing about this was a video that I didn't want to see and then after seeing it I got sad. 9/10 because I still felt fat thanks.

The word of the week is:

Self-esteem (which I lack)

Hi, here's and actual picture of me doing this:

Then this is me realizing my life sucks:

Here's me showing my cool t-shirt I slept on and that has a food stain:

And this is me showing you my pimple:

It's me again showing you my teeth:

Me being awkward:

And in here I am actually laughing of how stupid I was being:

I lost hope in life in here:

Then I got sad:

THANK YOU FOR READING AND LOOKING AT MY UGLY FACE BYEEEEEEEEEEE

Weekly Update #3: I give up

Hey! It's me again, complaining about my stupid life full of stress and disappointment. How's your life going?

I know you might be thinking "omg this chick is doing her work at last minute as everything in her life again". Well, let me tell you that I am doing this early today (currently 5:27 pm on a Sunday) because I am avoiding other responsibilities as the procrastinator queen that I am. So jokes on you HA!
Anyways, this week we saw the following:

What I learned last week in SMRT 140

Here's a list for you to know what I am going to complain about, enjoy:
  • Not so mysterious topic anymore
  • Note Taking
  • Story about a very stupid man
  • Abbreviations
  • Quiz (a.k.a torture)

You read  my mind! Chinese and Western medicine! AGAIN!? We are sooooo not totally done with this topic. I love it, I live for it, it gives me purpose in my life and makes me want to smash my computer everytime I see it on my screen. I really love this.
Leaving the sarcasm behind, we are just reading and listening to the same stuff and doing exercises about them.
P.S. YES WE ARE STILL SEEING THE GENERAL AND THESIS STATEMENT OKAY?

I know this may sound weird of me, to say something positive, but I think I am actually enjoying note taking. I find it challenging to try and understand what the person in the audio is saying, while I am also trying to write down everything that I am listening to. I think it is refresing.
However, I cannot write about a topic without complaining about somehting, am I riiiiight?
What's with the topics they choose though? Mechanical motors? Really? That's the best you've got. C'mon SMRT staff, I know you can do better.
Here's a 100% real gif of me in SMRT class:

Imagine you are in an extremely cold place with your dog, would you kill it? WELL THIS STUPID MAN I AM GOING TO TALK WOULD AND I HATE HIM FOR THAT.
Okay, so as you may kow my now, we have to read a "short" story every week because I don't know, they want us to suffer. Anyways, this week we read a story called "To build a fire", and it stressed me out.
First of all, I didn't have time to finish reading it, so I was all stressed reading it on recess before SMRT class, so I could send the classwork on time. Second of all, THIS MAN WAS SERIOUSLY SO STUPID!
The story was about a man who wanted to see "the boys" and had to go somewhere but the weather was terrible. It was like a million dregrees below zero, but he had no common sense and still wanted to go. He also had de audacity to take his poor dog with him, to help him, but he treated it like CRAP! AND I WAS ANNOYED. In the end ****************** SPOILER ALERT ******************* he dies.
I am starting to think they are just choosing very tragic stories where everybody dies, make your bets for next week's short story.

In note taking we also saw abbreviations. It stressed me out because I take more time trying to use the symbols they want me to insted of JUST WRITING NORMALLY.
That's it, I don't want to talk about this anymore because I get stressed and my anxiety and stress levels are on their full potential right now. Here's a pic of my fav flower being 2 KUL 4 SKUL:

We made another quiz, it was all grammar and I didn't remeber anything tbh (abbreviations *wink*). I still tried my best because Ms. Karitza still has faith in my, even though I am done.
Here's an appreciation gif my the most beautiful teacher ever who has to listen (and now read) about my complaints everyday. I am sorry and I luv you a lot.

I am also sorry for the quality of my blog, it wasn't as good as the last two, I AM GOING TROUGH A MENTAL BREAKDOWN, and I  feel very tired and stuff. sorry

This week's vocabulary word is:

DEPRESSED

Thank you for reading, you are a staAAAaar!

Weekly Update #2: Thought you've seen the last of me? Think again

Hello MTV, welcome to my crib.

I am back again with some new and fresh passive aggressive content because you asked for it (and because I am being forced to), so buckle your seatbelts and enjoy this new entry that I am making until the last minute (as always) because apparently I love procastinating.
This week (or last week because it is monday at 12:18 at this precise moment) we saw the following:

What I learned last week in SMRT 140

I am making you a list for you to know what I am going to complain about, feel free to judge me:
  • MISTERIOUS TOPIC
  • Note taking
  • The Saddest Story Ever
  • Cloning and Stem Cells
  • Presentations

YOU GUESSED IT! WE ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT CHINESE AND WESTERN MEDICINE, HOW COULD YOU KNOW THAT?
I am seriously so done with this topic, we keep doing readings about this even though they are just repeating and repeating the information they already told us, but it's okay because we are highschool students and we don't have human rights. We keep writing the general and thesis statements, and we keep failing at doing them correctly.

We also learned to take notes. It actually wasn't that bad, we just had some recordings to listen to and then take notes about them. Pretty self explanatory.
I don't know if this was also of this skill but we made competitions with some listening classworks and it was super fun. (Miss Karitza this is your friendly reminder of my hielito)

This week we  read the most sad story ever (because apparently 20 pages is considered short for Canadians). It was about a little kid who wasn't super okay in mental health because his parents neglected him a lot, and he wanted to help in the economy of the family, so he starts making bets about horse races. At the end *********** SPOILER ALERT ************ he dies.

*Real situation happening at SMRT offices*
SMRT creative director: Okay guys, which topics could be interesting to teach skills and people to feel attracted to.
smart guy 1: Gender equality!
smart guy 2: Venezuela's situation!
smart guy 3: new educational techniques!
stupid guy: Stem cells and cloning!
SMRT creative director: YAAAASSSS STEM CELLS YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!! I LUV YOU OMG AMAZIIIIIING!

With this topic we also practiced reading and listening skills, the same as in chinese and western medicine. Let's start a praying chain so they don't repeat this topic forever.

The last thing we saw, that I also just finished right now, are some presentation. It was pretty easy, we just had to make some outlines and prepare for a presentation of topics we already know. Prepare to be amazed with my presentations

I want to thank you and give you a virtual hug if you read until here. 💙💙💚💛💛💜

LAST WEEK'S VOCABULARY WORD IS:

MARROW

Thank you for reading, here have a baby elephant drinking water.

Weekly Blog #8: Sunburn

We went to the annual highschool's rally last Friday and I am currently terribly sunburned and without voice for screaming so much. I am...
